j Improvement to Gmail Offline Chrome AppWe first announced Gmail offline last August. With the latest release, users can now choose whether to synchronize 7, 14 or 31 days worth of mail. They'll also see performance enhancements, attachment downloads, and more. Read more here. New Gmail app for iPhone, iPad and iPod touchLast month, we updated the Gmail app with some new features and interface improvements, including custom signature, vacation responder, and nested label support. Find out more. Google+ Integration with GmailWith Google+, users can now grow their circles, filter emails and contacts by circles, keep all their contact information up-to-date automatically and share photos to Google+, all directly from Gmail and Contacts. In addition, users can share Gmail photo attachments with one quick click, facilitating further conversation and connection. See more.

j Google Apps New Look updates Google's visual refresh has been rolling out with the most recent launch being the New Look for Gmail. Many of you invest in and build your business around change management and user training, so we encourage you to switch your customers’ domains to the new look using the one-time switch in the control panel and control the timing of when they see the new look. For training resources, email templates, customizable presentations and up-to-date information to help communicate the changes, go to the What’s New site and the FAQ on the reseller resource site. Increased Mobile Device Management optionsYou can now define mobile policies such as password requirements and roaming sync preferences on a granular basis by user group. Administrators also have the ability to see the mobile productivity within their organizations, complete with trends and analytics. Read more in this blog post. Browse Google Apps Directory in GmailGmail users can browse the entire Google Apps directory for their domain from within Contacts without having to search. This is especially useful when a user doesn’t know the exact name or spelling of the person they’re looking for. Cloud Alliance for Google Apps A set of Google Apps Marketplace application vendors have gotten together and announced a technology and business partnership alliance to raise awareness of, and make it easier for users to adopt, third-party applications that are integrated with Google Apps. Google isn't involved in this effort, but we're glad to see the continued success of our marketplace partners. As always, we encourage our resellers to investigate the Apps Marketplace on behalf of customers.

j Google+ Now Available with Google Apps We recently announced that Google+ can now be enabled for Google Apps accounts. You can create circles with your team members and customers, to share updates, content, and photos. Updates to New Look in Google Apps Since June, we have been rolling out a visual refresh across Google Apps and other Google products. Google's new look for Gmail was launched earlier this month. Our Google Apps partners often invest in and build their businesses around change management and user training, so we encourage you to opt-in to understand this feature update for your customers and send us feedback. Suggested Times for Google Calendar This new calender feature makes it easier to find meeting times that works for everyone. The result is a list that provides the times where all participants in your meeting are available.

Visualize your data with Charts in Google Sites You and your customers can now display charts directly in Google Sites. You can choose between adding live dynamic charts or snapshots of charts to Google Sites pages. See more on this feature.
New Gmail options for mobile users The Gmail for mobile team has been working hard to increase productivity through mobile phone browsers. This month, they released multiple sign-on support, allowing quick switching between email accounts. Building a Web Practice around Google Apps We recently delivered this webinar with Redmond Channel Partner for an audience of prospective Google Apps resellers.

Offline Gmail, Calendar and Docs Do work anytime, anywhere.
Today, we announced that the Gmail Offline web app is now
available, with Calendar and Docs Offline rolling out next week.
To learn more and address customer questions and interests, we recommend you pilot the offline web apps.
We'll post a FAQ on the reseller resource site that you can leverage to answer customer questions.
In the meantime, please send any questions to announce@googleapps.com or contact your partner manager. Gmail Preview Pane This month, the Gmail team made significant changes to the Gmail preview pane that allows readers to view snippets of the message prior to opening up entire conversations.

Email with read receipts
Earlier this month, we introduced read receipts as
an optional feature for Google Apps for Business and Google Apps for Government accounts.
Read receipts allow email senders to monitor the status of the messages they send and allow recipients to acknowledge receipt of mail.
Gmail Phishing Detection
Gmail is now keeping you safer by displaying more information about the origin of certain messages.
You and your customers can now see when messages come from an email-sending service (like a news site article sharing system) and see a warning when the sender may have spoofed a Gmail address.

New applications for your Google Apps customers
We’re getting close to beginning the “Full Opt-in” phase of the important changes we told you about earlier that will ultimately allow Google Apps accounts access to many more application services from Google. You should discuss the implications with your customers. Once the Full Opt-in phase begins, many of the initial limitations will have been removed and there will be no reason not to transition. Browser support changes
Beginning August 1st, Google will only support the current and prior major release of Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer and Safari on a rolling basis. Each time a new browser version is released, we will begin supporting the updated and stop supporting the third-oldest version. Read more.
Introducing the people widget
The people widget surfaces content from friends, family and colleagues that is already available to you but may be hard to find. Next to every email message, you and your customers can now see contextual information about the people in that conversation, and have quick access to a variety of ways to communicate with those individuals. Read more.
Google Apps extensions console
This new tool helps application developers and solution providers integrate with Google Apps. The Google Apps extensions console provides a direct way for developers writing applications for their own domain to take advantage of the integrations provided by the Google Apps APIs, such as OpenID SSO‚ without having to create a Google Apps Marketplace listing.
